Abstract

Defendant's seaplane landed at sea out of gasoline and without a compass. The m/s Batory took both the pilot and the plane aboard. In a libel for conversion of the seaplane, held, a cross-libel for salvage services stated a cause of action because a seaplane is a vessel for purpose of salvage.
