Trial assignments. Within 7 days after the entry of a plea of not guilty, the court shall,

by written order, set the date and time for trial. If the defendant waives speedy trial at arraignment, the court may hold a case management conference within 30 days, at which the date and time for trial and deadlines for filing motions and taking depositions will be set.
