(a) In General. On motion of a party and for good cause shown, the special master may suspend proceedings on a petition. (b) Period of Suspension. (1) Initial Motion. The special master will grant an initial motion for suspension, filed by either party, for a period of 30 days. (2) Subsequent Motions. The special master for may grant subsequent motions suspension, if deemed appropriate, for not more than 150 additional days in total. (c) Effect. All periods of suspension will be excluded for purposes of the time limitations set forth in 42 U.S.C. § 300aa-12(d)(3)(A) and Vaccine Rules 4(c) and 10.
