For a contested hearing, the court may, upon the request of the defendant or its own initiative, compel the attendance of the officer who issued the notice of infraction and other witnesses. Requests for subpoenas must be made at least ten (10) calendar days before the scheduled hearing on the infraction. If a subpoena is issued pursuant to defendant’s request, the defendant is responsible for its service and for payment of the service, mileage and witness fees. (Amended December 8, 2005, effective January 1, 2006.)
