(a) Delinquent Offense. The burden is on the State to prove the allegations in the petition beyond a reasonable doubt before an adjudication can be made that a juvenile committed a delinquent offense. (b) Status Offense. The burden is on the State to prove the allegations in the petition by clear and convincing evidence before an adjudication can be made that the juvenile committed a status offense.
