SHERIFF TO FILE AFFIDAVITS ON ARREST
South Carolina Rules of Criminal Procedure
The Sheriff and/or law enforcement officer shall file with the appropriate magistrate the affidavit and/or proof of service on which the arrest is made within five days after the arrest. Note: Rule 1 is based upon the language of Criminal Practice Rule 1.
