The summons and complaint shall be served upon the accused by any law enforcement officer by delivering a copy to the accused personally, or by leaving it at the accused’s usual place of abode with a person of suitable age and discretion then residing therein, or by mailing it by registered or certified mail to the last known address of the accused. (P.B. 1978-1997, Sec. 602.)
