and Notice of Suit (Amended June 26, 2000, to take effect Jan. 1, 2001.) (a) The plaintiff, or representative, shall cause service of the writ and notice of suit separately on each defendant by priority mail with delivery confirmation, by certified mail with return receipt requested or with electronic delivery confirmation, by a nationally recognized courier service provid- ing delivery confirmation, or by a proper officer in the manner in which a writ of summons is served in a civil action. The plaintiff, or representative, shall include any information required by the Office of the Chief Court Administrator.
