Upon the filing of a petition, the court shall issue a notice of pretrial conference to the petitioner or her/his attorney of record stating the name of the judge assigned to hear the matter and the date and time of the pretrial conference. Effective October 1, 2013, in accordance with G.L. 1956 §§ 28-35-14 and 28-35-15, the petitioner shall mail a copy of the petition and a copy of the notice of pretrial conference to the respondent, the insurance carrier and/or third party Page 2 of 35 February 2024 administrator, and the agent for service (if applicable), within ten (10) days of filing the petition. Contemporaneous with the service of the documents referenced above, the petitioner must file with the court an executed certificate of service, utilizing the form promulgated by the court.
