In addition to the methods of service provided for in the rules governing service of pleadings and other papers in the various trial courts of this State, the Supreme Court of South Carolina may, by order, set forth the means of allowing for service by electronic means, including by e-mail. 1 Electronic service under this rule may not be used for the service of a summons and complaint, subpoena, or any other pleading or document required to be personally served. Adopted by Order dated May 2, 2022.
