Satisfaction of Judgment

(a) Required on Full Payment. Upon full payment of a judgment, the party in whose favor the judgment was rendered must: (1) file a satisfaction of judgment in the court in which the judgment was entered; and (2) record it in every county where the judgment or abstract of the judgment is recorded. (b) Signature Required. A satisfaction of judgment must be signed by the party in whose favor the judgment was entered or the party’s attorney. (Adopted March 1, 2016, effective July 1, 2016 .)
