(a) Promulgation of Rules by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court by action of a majority of the justices, after giving appropriate public notice and opportunity for comment, may make and amend these Rules governing practice in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. In all cases not provided for by rule, the Supreme Court or Court of Appeals may regulate its practice in any manner consistent with law and justice. The clerk of the Supreme Court will cause a notice of entry of an order amending these Rules to be published in the official publication of the State Bar of Nevada. (b) Drafting and Printing of Orders Amending Rules; Marking of New and Old Matter. In orders amending the Nevada Rules of Appellate Procedure, new matter will be indicated by underscoring or italics. Matter to be omitted will be indicated by brackets and boldface and strikethrough type. In subsequent orders, all matter appearing as omitted and bracketed in previously entered orders will be omitted entirely. [Amended; effective August 15, 2024.]
