GALR 3 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF GUARDIAN AD LITEM IN TITLE 13 RCW JUVENILE COURT PROCEEDINGS In addition to the roles and responsibilities enumerated in rule 2, a guardian ad litem in Title 13 RCW juvenile court proceedings shall have the following responsibilities: (a) Role. Unless otherwise specified in the order of appointment, the roles and responsibilities of a guardian ad litem are those roles and responsibilities specified in RCW 13.34.105 and applicable court rules. (b) Explore concurrent planning. A guardian ad litem shall explore concurrent planning and make a timely recommendation to the court for a permanent plan for the child.
