No hearing is required when the landlord files an affidavit of complaint for summary eviction if the tenant has not filed an affidavit contesting the notice of eviction. Nothing in this rule is intended to prevent the judge from conducting a hearing on the judge’s own motion. [Amended; effective October 29, 2024.]
