legal counsel. (1) A party may be represented by legal counsel in proceedings before the panel, although the party is not required to be represented. If a party chooses to retain legal counsel, his attorney shall informally enter an appearance with the director. (2) If a party is represented by legal counsel and the attorney has entered an appearance, a notice or communication required by the act or these rules and any other communication must be transmitted to the party's legal counsel, with a copy transmi tted to the director, except that the notice of hearing required by 27-12-501, MCA, must be provided to all parties and their respective legal counsel, if any.
