Receivers may be removed at any time, at the pleasure of the court by which they were appointed or, if such court is not in session, by a judge thereof; and, if any receiver is removed or declines to act or dies, the court that appointed the receiver, or, if such court is not in session, a judge thereof, may fill the vacancy.
