Referral to committee or Board

Intent: To establish a procedure for the Council to refer appropriate matters to Council committees or Boards for consideration and advice on proposed policies. To assure that the Council has the best advice available on a particular issue. Applicability: This rule shall apply to all matters considered by the Council. Statement of the Rule: The Council may refer any matter to an appropriate standing or ad hoc committee or to a Board for study and recommendations.
