Indiana Rules for Alternative Dispute Resolution

Rule: 5.1

Jurisdiction: IN

Bluebook Citation: Ind. ADR R. 5.1

Effective March 1, 1997 The summary jury trial is a method for resolving cases in litigation when extensive court and trial time may be anticipated. This is a settlement process, and it should be employed only when there is reason to believe that a limited jury presentation may create an opportunity to quickly resolve the dispute and conserve judicial resources.
