(a) Council meetings to consider proposals The Judicial Council meets twice a year, generally in April and October, to consider proposals for the adoption, amendment, or repeal of California Rules of Court, California Standards of Judicial Administration, and Judicial Council forms. (b) Proposals The council will consider proposals that are submitted to it by an internal committee, an advisory committee, a task force, or Judicial Council staff, in accordance with rule 10.22 and any policies and procedures established by the Rules Committee. Subd (b) amended effective April 16, 2020; repealed and adopted effective January 1, 2002; previously amended effective January 1, 2007, and January 1, 2016.) (c) Statewide uniformity The council will establish uniform statewide practices and procedures where appropriate to achieve equal access to justice throughout California. (Subd (c) relettered effective January 1, 2002; adopted as subd (g).) Rule 10.20 amended effective April 16, 2020; adopted as rule 6.20 effective January 1, 1999; previously amended effective January 1, 2002, and January 1, 2016; previously amended and renumbered as rule 10.20 effective January 1, 2007.
