The Kansas Rules of Professional Conduct and comments, as amended by this court on May 1, 2007, are adopted as the Rules of this court as general standards of conduct and practice required of the legal profession in Kansas. Violation of such standards constitutes grounds for disciplinary action. The Rules herein adopted may be referred to and cited as KRPC 1.1, etc. [ History: Amended March 11, 1999; Am. effective July 1, 2007; Rule 226 renumbered without amendment to Rule 240 effective January 1, 2021.]
