A copy of any pleading or order affecting the estate of a veteran must be mailed to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs by the party filing or obtaining the same. COMMENT TO 2017 AMENDMENTS Stylistic changes were made to this rule to conform with the 2007 amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. This rule helps the United States Department of Veterans Affairs fulfill its statutory responsibility of ensuring that federal funds disbursed to veterans are properly expended and accounted for.
