(a) Any violation of these rules, or any violation of rules and regulations promulgated by the board, shall be cause for refusal of the board to issue or renew certification to any applicant. Any willful violation of these rules, or of any rules or regulations promulgated by the board, shall be grounds for the discipline. (b) Any of the following grounds may also be the basis for discipline, censure, suspension, or revocation of certification as a certified shorthand reporter: (i) conviction of crime involving moral turpitude; (ii) dishonesty occurring in the performance of duties as a reporter or in matters related to shorthand reporting; (iii) false or deceptive advertising; (iv) gross incompetence in the performance of duties as a reporter; (v) participation in any incentive programs; (vi) violation of any statute governing court reporting; or (vii) disregard or violation of a court order.
