(a) Affirmations in Lieu of Oath. When these rules require an oath, a solemn affirmation suffices. (b) Declarations. Whenever these rules require or permit a written declaration to be made under oath or affirmation, such statement may be made as provided in Idaho Code, Title 9. An affidavit includes a written certification or declaration made as provided in Idaho Code, Title 9. (c) Unsworn Foreign Declarations. Unsworn foreign declarations are governed by Idaho’s implementation of the Uniform Unsworn Foreign Declarations Act as set forth in Idaho Rule of Civil Procedure (I.R.C.P.) 2.8. (Adopted March 29, 2021, effective July 1, 2021.)
