Each court should select attorneys, arbitrators, mediators, referees, masters, receivers, and other persons appointed by the court on the basis of merit. No court may discriminate in such selection on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or age. Rule 10.611 amended and renumbered effective January 1, 2007; adopted as rule 989.2 effective January 1, 1999.
