A party who plans to offer a hospital record in evidence shall have the record in the clerk’s office twenty-four hours prior to trial. The judge shall order that all such records be available for inspec- tion in the clerk’s office to any counsel of record under the supervision of the clerk. Counsel must recognize their responsibility to have medical tes- timony available when needed and shall, when necessary, subpoena medical witnesses to that end. Such records shall be submitted in accord- ance with the provisions of Section 7-18. (P.B. 1998.) (Amended June 28, 1999, to take effect Jan. 1, 2000.)
