DISCHARGED AND SURETIES EXONERATED When a judgment of not guilty is entered, the defendant, if in custody, shall be immediately discharged unless the defendant is in custody on some other charge. If the defendant is at large on bail, the defendant’s sureties shall be exonerated and, if money or bonds have been deposited as bail, the money or bonds shall be refunded.
