The court, upon its own motion or motion of a party or the county attorney, may join a person or entity as a party if the court finds that joinder is: (a) necessary for a just and complete resolution of the matter; and (b) in the best interests of the child. The moving party shall serve the motion upon all parties, the county attorney, and the person proposed to be joined. 2019 Advisory Committee Comment
