(a) Otherwise inadmissible objects or depictions may be used to illustrate witness testimony or counsel’s arguments. (b) The court may limit or prohibit the use of illustrative aids as necessary to avoid unfair prejudice, surprise, confusion, or waste of time. (c) Opposing counsel must be given reasonable opportunity to object to the use of any illustrative aid prepared before trial. (d) The jury may use illustrative aids during deliberations only if all parties consent, or if the court so orders after a party has shown good cause. 41 Illustrative aids remain the property of the party that prepared them. They may be used by any party during the trial. They must be preserved for the record for appeal or further proceedings upon the request of any party. ARTICLE VII. OPINIONS AND EXPERT TESTIMONY
