When a judicial holiday specified by Code of Civil Procedure section 135 falls on a Saturday, the courts must observe the holiday on the preceding Friday. When a judicial holiday specified by Code of Civil Procedure section 135 falls on a Sunday, the courts must observe the holiday on the following Monday. Rule 1.11 amended and renumbered effective January 1, 2007; adopted as rule 987 effective January 1, 1986, operative January 1, 1989.
