If, upon the conclusion of the adjudication hearing, the court determines that the material allegations of the petition are established, or that a lesser included offense has been proved, it may enter an order granting the prayer of the petition. If, after such determination and action, the disposition hearing is not to be held immediately and the child is in detention or shelter care, the court shall determine whether the child shall be released or continued in detention or shelter care.
