(a) Extension of time to appeal. The juvenile court, upon a showing of good cause or excusable neglect, may extend the time for filing a notice of appeal upon motion filed prior to the expiration of time prescribed by Rule 52. No extension shall exceed 10 days past the prescribed time or 10 days from the date of entry of the order granting the motion, whichever occurs later. (b) Extension of time to file petition on appeal or response. The Court of Appeals for good cause shown may extend the time for filing a petition on appeal or a response to the petition on appeal upon motion filed prior to the expiration of the time for which the extension is sought. No extension shall exceed 10 days past the original due date or 10 days from the date of entry of the order granting the motion, whichever occurs later. The motion shall comply with Rule 22(b)(4).
