Except as otherwise provided by these rules or other law, relevant evidence may be excluded if its probative value is substantially outweighed by the risk of: (a) Undue prejudice, confusion of issues, or misleading the jury; or (b) Undue delay, wasting time, or needlessly presenting cumulative evidence. NOTE : Adopted September 15, 1992 to be effective July 1, 1993; punctuation and initial capitalization in paragraphs (a) and (b) amended September 16, 2019 to be effective July 1, 2020.
