Evaluation — time extension. Pursuant to Iowa Code section 125.83, the facility

administrator may request a seven-day extension of time for further evaluation by filing a written application with the clerk of court in the county in which the hearing was held. The application shall contain a statement by the facility administrator or the administrator’s designee identifying with reasonable particularity the basis of the request for extension. The clerk shall immediately notify the respondent’s attorney of the request by furnishing a copy of the application. [Report 1984; November 9, 2001, effective February 15, 2002]
