Unless the court orders otherwise, an expert may state an opinion--and give the reasons for it--without prior disclosure of the underlying facts or data, provided that, if requested pursuant to the rules of discovery, the underlying facts or data were disclosed. But the expert may be required to disclose those facts or data on cross-examination. (Adopted March 26, 2018, effective July 1, 2018.)
