In the following two instances only, a notice of intent to appeal must be filed in order to defer the taking of an appeal until the final judgment that disposes of the case for all purposes and as to all parties is rendered: (1) when the deferred appeal is to be filed from a judgment that not only disposes of an entire complaint, counterclaim or cross complaint but also disposes of all the causes of action brought by or against a party or parties so that that party or parties are not parties to any remaining complaint, counterclaim or cross complaint; or (2) when the deferred appeal is to be filed from a judgment that disposes of only part of a complaint, 450 © Copyrighted by the Secretary of the State of the State of Connecticut RULES OF APPELLATE PROCEDURE
