(a) Clerk’s duty to keep papers. No original record, or any part of a file, record, or court papers, shall be taken from the clerk’s custody without the permission of the clerk of the court. (b) Docket. The docket of the court shall at all times remain in the office of the justice court clerk. The clerk shall retain custody of the docket, make all entries thereon, keep it safe, and provide it to the court for examination in the office. The docket may be maintained by computer. Failure of a judge to sign the docket shall not invalidate the actions of the court contained therein. (c) Uniform case record. The judge shall sign the uniform case record of each case pursuant to section 9-11-11 of the Mississippi Code. (d) Signing bonds prohibited. No officer of the court shall sign any bond of any kind in or to any court of this state. Bonds are controlled by statutory procedures.
