For good cause, the court assigned to hear the appeal may continue the trial. A request for a continuance may be presented by one party or by stipulation. The court may grant a continuance not to exceed 30 days, but in a case of extreme hardship the court may grant a continuance exceeding 30 days. Rule 8.960 renumbered effective January 1, 2009; adopted as rule 154 effective July 1, 1964; previously amended effective January 1, 1977, July 1, 1991, and January 1, 2005; previously renumbered as rule 8.910 effective January 1, 2007.
