Compensation and expenses. Members of the commission serve without compensation

but may be paid their reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties. All expenses of the operation of the commission must be paid from funds the commission receives from lawyers’ interest-bearing trust accounts or income earned thereon.
