Any party may challenge the venire on the ground that in its selection there has been a material, prejudicial departure from the requirements of law. Challenges to the venire shall be by motion in writing or on the record specifying the facts on which the challenge is based. Motions to challenge the venire shall be made before trial and shall be decided prior to voir dire examinations. Committee Comments
