(a) Application of Fed. R. Bankr. P. 9006. Unless otherwise specified, Fed. R. Bankr. P. 9006(a), (b), (c), (e), and (f) apply to appeals before this Court. (b) Legal Holiday. “Legal holiday,” as defined in Fed. R. Bankr. P. 9006(a), includes any day appointed as a holiday by the state in which this Court’s clerk’s office is located or the state of the district in which the matter originated. 92 Rule 8027. Notice of a Mediation Procedure If the district court or BAP has a mediation procedure applicable to bankruptcy appeals, the clerk must, after docketing the appeal, promptly notify the parties of: (a) the requirements of the mediation procedure; and (b) any effect it has on the time to file briefs. No local rule. 93 Rule 8028. Suspending These Part VIII Rules To expedite a decision or for other cause, a district court or BAP—or when appropriate, the court of appeals—may, in a particular case, suspend the requirements of these Part VIII rules, except Rules 8001-8007, 8012, 8020, 8024- 8026, and 8028.
