Briefs

(A) Briefs: The standard form for all briefs shall be as set forth in Neb. Ct. R. App. P. § 2-103(A) and (C) . Paper briefs, only submitted by non-attorneys, shall be as provided in § 2-103(C)(5) . (B) Distribution: The original brief shall be filed with the clerk, with a copy served upon opposing counsel. The materials required by § 6-1526 shall be separately filed with the clerk. Nothing included in a brief shall be treated as a substitution for any required document under § 6-1526 . Nothing included in a brief shall be treated as a substitution for the statement of errors required by § 6-1518(B) . (C) Citations: Citation to authorities shall conform to generally accepted uniform standards of citation; citation of Nebraska cases shall include the Nebraska Reports or the Nebraska Appellate Reports and North Western Reporter citation. § 6-1505 amended June 9, 2021, effective January 1, 2022.
