(A) Briefs If the Supreme Court determines that a conflict exists, the parties shall file their merit briefs in conformance with Section 16. (B) Scope The parties shall brief only the issues identified in the order of the Supreme Court as issues to be considered, and those issues shall be clearly identified in the table of contents, in accordance with Rule 16.02(B)(1). (C) When a certified-conflict case is consolidated with a jurisdictional appeal In cases where a certified-conflict case has been consolidated with an appeal under Rule 7.07(C), the brief shall identify the issues that have been found by the Supreme Court to be in conflict and shall distinguish those issues from any other issues being briefed in the consolidated appeal.
