Mississippi Rules of Criminal Procedure (effective July 1, 2023)
Defendants who appeal a conviction in county court to circuit court shall be entitled to release pursuant to Rule 8.3. All time that the defendant has been in custody on the present charge shall be credited against any sentence imposed. Comment
