Magistrate Judges. A district court judge or magistrate judge may not preside over adoption proceedings in the absence of appointment as a master pursuant to Adoption Rule 3 or, in the case of a district court judge, appointment by the chief justice as a superior court judge pro tempore. (1) Timeliness. A party may file an objection no later than five days after receiving notice of an order of reference.
