Application of division

The rules in this division apply to: (1) Appeals from the superior courts, except appeals to the appellate divisions of the superior courts; (2) Original proceedings, motions, applications, and petitions in the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court; and (3) Proceedings for transferring cases within the appellate jurisdiction of the superior court to the Court of Appeal for review, unless rules 8.1000-8.1018 provide otherwise. Rule 8.4 amended and renumbered effective January 1, 2007; repealed and adopted as rule 53 effective January 1, 2005.
