(A) Amendments to pleadings may be allowed within the discretion of the court. (B) A party who has obtained leave to amend a pleading but fails to do so within the time limit shall be considered as electing to abide by the former pleading. (C) A proposed amended pleading that is filed prior to obtaining leave of the court shall have no operative effect until the court grants leave to amend. § 6-1412 amended June 9, 2021, effective January 1, 2022.
