ELC 2.9 ADJUNCT DISCIPLINARY COUNSEL (a) Function. Adjunct disciplinary counsel performs the functions set forth in these rules as directed by disciplinary counsel. (b) Appointment and Term of Office. The Board of Governors, upon the recommendation of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel, appoints adjunct disciplinary counsel from among the active members of the Association, who have been active or judicial Association members for at least seven years, and have no record of disciplinary action as defined in these rules. Each adjunct disciplinary counsel is appointed for a five year term on a staggered basis and may be reappointed. (c) Restriction on Representation. Adjunct disciplinary counsel are subject to the restrictions of rule 2.14. [Adopted effective October 1, 2002; Amended effective January 1, 2014.]
