01: Fixing time for pleadings and proceedings

The court in its discretion may order or permit pleadings to be filed, or any act to be done, at other times than are provided in these rules. Whenever in the progress of any case it becomes necessary that a pleading be filed or other step taken so that the case may proceed, and the matter is not covered by any provision of statute or rule, the court may fix the time for the filing of such pleading or make any other appropriate order.
