This Directive is the originating and establishing directive for ICE policy on recruitment bonuses. 4.
BACKGROUND.
Under the direction of the Assistant Secretary, ICE is charged with enforcing immigration and customs laws, collecting intelligence, protecting specified Federal buildings, and any other functions as the Secretary of Homeland Security may direct. It is critical that ICE employ a highly qualified workforce to perform the work required to accomplish this mission.
